Meet Dr. Lauren Doss
DVM
Dr. Doss recently moved to Charlotte, NC and is excited to begin her career as an associate veterinarian at River’s Edge Veterinary Hospital. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018, after completing her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Animal Science at Virginia Tech in 2014.
Dr. Doss is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care and loves getting to know both her patients and their people. She strives to create a comfortable, collaborative environment where pet owners feel informed and confident in their pet’s care.
She is passionate about a whole-body approach to medicine, with a special interest in integrative care and veterinary behavior. Dr. Doss completed the Veterinary Acupuncture Program through Chi University and enjoys incorporating acupuncture into her treatment plans when appropriate. She also has a strong interest in veterinary behavior and loves helping pets feel their best—both physically and emotionally.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Doss enjoys spending time with her husband and their son, Jace, who was born in January 2025. She also shares her home with her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Layla, and her Ragdoll cat, Bella, who previously served as a therapy cat providing comfort to students and nursing home residents during her college years. In her free time, she enjoys trying new restaurants and exploring all that Charlotte has to offer. Dr. Doss is grateful to be part of this community and looks forward to caring for your pets!
