Comprehensive Preventative Care
At River's Edge Animal Hospital, we believe that proactive care is key to ensuring a long and healthy life for your pet. Just like us, pets age quickly—roughly five to seven years every calendar year—so regular wellness exams are crucial for early detection of any potential health issues. We recommend annual physical exams for adult pets (1–7 years old) and bi-annual (every 6 months), tip-to-tail exams for senior pets (7+ years old) to monitor their overall health.
Early Detection & Lab Testing
Our early detection screenings and lab tests help identify organ and metabolic health concerns, as well as common diseases like diabetes, kidney, liver, and thyroid conditions. We also conduct parasite screenings to ensure your pet’s preventative care is as effective as possible.
Vaccinations & Titers
Vaccinations are essential in preventing potentially life-threatening diseases. Your River's Edge Animal Hospital veterinarian will tailor a vaccination schedule to fit your pet’s specific lifestyle, risks, and needs to help protect them from common illnesses. This can be determined after a thorough risk assessment with one of our veterinarians.
Nutritional Consultations
Just like humans, pets thrive on a balanced, nutritious diet. Our nutritional consults assess your pet’s current diet, caloric needs, and feeding methods. We also provide advice on any additional preventative measures based on your pet’s individual health profile.
